Mar Mathew’s Boy’s Town was started in memory of the 70th Birthday of Mar Mathew Pothanamuzhy, the first Bishop of Kothamangalam in the land donated by the diocese. It was blessed by him on 10th January 1977. The I.T.C. was started in 1980. The church was blessed on 3rd January 1988 by Mar George Punnakottil, Bishop of Kothamangalam.
